NaNoJouMo 2012 Day 4: “Walk This Way” by Aerosmith

Little late getting this posted...
Yesterday was a fabulously busy (and fun!) day so I didn't completed the page until after supper and by then the lack of light meant my cr@p-ol@ lil'camera wouldn't take a decent picture.
So New Day... and sunlight streaming in the window... Re-DO! and done.

NaNoJouMo Day 4:
“Walk This Way” by Aerosmith

I really couldn't find much in this song that triggered anything, other then the title itself so that's what I went with. Used an image of 2 Roads and journaled over it.

Road on the Left Says:
My Muse told me to Walk This Way ---->
The Path Less Traveled

Road on the Rights Says:
~Robert Frost~ The Road Not Taken
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Done in an 8 1/2" X 11" Book.

NaNoJouMo Day 3: “Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones

NaNoJouMo Day 3... a little harder today...
Such a dark, dark song and I'm in such a *happy* place at the moment...
BUT I got it done, with a twist!

Day 3: “Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones

Grabbed a chunk of lyrics today and made them graffiti...
Also a Thank-You to Kelly and Eric of Ottawa Goth for the extra bit of inspiration and the er... 'crowning' touch. The Skull Hair Bobbles and crossed Bones on the necklace are just a wee bit of the confetti that blew (up and eeeeverywhere... lol) out of the lovely Halloween Card they sent. Since I *try* to not throw out anything Art-able out it was sitting on my desk screaming 'USE ME!'.
Added some Bling-age and Voila! Day 3 Done.

Book is 8 1/2" X 11"
Printed Lyrics, CONFETTI, Bling, Paint and various pens and markers.

I wanna see it
painted,
painted
black
Black as night,
black as coal

I wanna see the sun
blotted out from the sky

I wanna see it
tainted,
tainted,
tainted,
tainted
black
Yeah!

Hmm, hmm, hmm,...

NaNoJouMo Day 2: “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” by Pink Floyd

The song for NaNoJouMo 2012 is:
“Shine on You Crazy Diamond” by Pink Floyd

Today was aweeeeesome!
Read the lyrics and one line JUMPED out at me:

Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there.

Ah-Ha...
*THAT* screams ART JOURNAL ME!!! at the top of it's lungs.

Today's page is in an 8 1/2" X 11" book.
Gel Medium -Matte, Torn leftover scrap papers (some painted), various pens and markers.
Printed the lyrics used (and changed them a bit) :

Remember when you were young?
you shone like the sun…

Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you stranger,
You legend,
you martyr,
and shine!

Come on you raver,
you seer of visions,
come on you painter,
You piper,
you prisoner,
and shine!

Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there.

Come on you girl child,
you winner and loser,
Come on you miner for truth and delusion,
and shine!

NaNoJouMo 2012 Day 1: “Take It Easy” by The Eagles

NoNoJouMo starts TODAY... and this year has a THEME!

"This year, we have a theme: classic rock songs.
Most of what I’ve picked are from the 60s and 70s. Take what you want from these prompts. Use the song title to kick-start a page. Maybe listen to the song if you have access to it. It might spark something that way. Maybe there’s ONE word in the title that inspires you."

The Red Key: Las Promesas - Muse of Taste Intuitive Painting

Time for the next Muse Painting over at The Red Key...

Muse of Taste - A Feast to Awaken your Mouth
She will need you to feed her. To nourish her. To give her yumminess.
Gather up your supplies of food, and drink for feasting
and your art supplies for drawing, writing and painting.
Nothing will taste the same after this.
*******
My Muse of  Taste...
The steps are basically the same for this painting as the other Muses were,
With 1 special extra... FOOD!

Page was cut to 8 1/2" X 10 3/4" so that it can attached right into my Book of Legends.
Laid out my 'feast' to nom nom while listening to what the Muse of Taste had to tell me today.
Wee Honey Gold Apples we picked at the orchard last week, 2 BIG Plums (seriously they're the size of oranges!), Candied Ginger (ziiip!), Chocolate in form of a Skor bar and my beloved Dr. Pepper (no diet this time, it's for ART! lol ).
NOT for eating: Red Thread, Keys and a Cinnamon Scented Candle. ;)

Felt led to 'annoint' the page with the red Plum juice before writing out my promise...
Though I had it upright during my preparations *she* wanted it sideways.

Written in watercolor pencil...
Promise:
I choose to sit and savor
Each and every morsel… to
Take time to taste, feel and
Experience each dish put
Before me by my Muse

Color wash: Reds and Purples much the same as the Plum juice...

 Outline...

Starting to fill with colors...

Adding details...
Not on here yet but I was led to grab the super shimmery copper paint,
With it, though the picture do it NO justice, she GLOWS.

Here she is!
Her Message to Me:
Savor each... and every... little Moment...
Looked up the symbolic meanings From: http://www.dreamomania.com
 Grapes:
If the dreamer in his dream perceives grape this points out that he has a need for celebration and ceremony. A dream of grapes suggests that in the life of the dreamer had been too little fun and laugh. Best way to change this is to bring creativity into life.
Candy:
Candy according to the information in old dream-books is promising love and happiness.
