Made in a 1/2" X 11" Journal
Paint and printed lyrics.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us

But I'm not the only one…
I hope someday you'll join us.

ATC Meeting: Blizzard

Yesterday I attended the monthly ATC Meeting this month's theme was:
Blizzard
Missed quite a few due to transport issues, timing and pain days, SO glad I dragged my achy self out yesterday though. 9 ladies sitting around (figuratively... 8 present and one away but she sent ART) table crafting away and then swapping some mini art at the end... my MUSE battery is fully re-charged now. :) I sat and worked on a page in my Book of Legends for the Red Key, all done minus journaling.
but... I digress... SO Blizzard... er, ah... I drew a blank. lol
Did some quote searching, images etc... then I ran across a wee snippet about the Snow Goddess and that tickled my Muse. So I added it to the back of the card and drew my own image.

KHIONE (or Chione)
Was one of the nymphs, a daughter of:
Boreas, god of the north-wind,
and Oreithyia, the lady of mountain gales.
Khione was herself probably the goddess of snow (khiôn).

Image pencil drawn, outlined in Sharpie Pen and then guide lines erased.
Colored with various markers, Uniball Signo and Pen-Touch white.
Also added 3D Crystal Lacquer and Glitter.

Group Shot:
There are some awesome shots on Wendy's Blog:
Which I used for  'crib notes' on people's names
I'm still learning and my brain in sieve-y. lol

Scrap Our Stash Design Team: November 'TEAR IT!' Challenge

TEAR IT!

Breakout the scraps of paper and start tearing!
Create a layout using those torn papers in small amounts or abundance.
You choose!
Head on over and check out join the Challenge:
HERE
 **************
Great idea... LOTS of scraps here!
Had several pieces of red and pink partial sheets of paper left from making October Breast Cancer Awareness Month cards so... that's what I reached for. Used a photo I've been itching to use too of last February's Starbucks LOVE Cup. Lurve the Love cup and I love coffee... so a page theme was born. Page base is a piece of black cardstock layered over with torn strip of red and pink paper layered over each other, edges all inked.
Here's a secret:
Under the photo the strips are NOT connected.
There wasn't enough paper to reach right across so I had to cut the shorter strips in 2,  lay them across from each other and then cover the gap with the big photo.
Letters, hearts, gems and coffee stickers are leftovers from other projects.
Cheers!

Been itching SO bad to use this wee lassie for something! Got her in the Swag Bag at Scrapfest Oshawa. She's only 1 1/4" high so went with a smaller journal page size.

Colored with Stampin' Up!  markers, journaled in Sharpie PEN.

Steampunk Family Paper Bag Scrapbook

I need to do some post house-keeping... there are quite a few pieces of work (many donations) that got done then I was onto the next *SHINY!* without sharing. Oooops...
Today I'll start with my newest non-posted, it's not too stale yet... made it on Sunday. :)
Attended a day Crop and there I took a class that was being offered: Paper Bag Scrapbook.
This is not my 1st paper bag book I made 2 a few *cough over 5* years ago and was very displeased with them. Think it had more to do with the subject matter (Museum Trip and Christmas while still married to my EX) and my heart not being in the making. This... this was fun-great-wonderful... and I'm totally pleased with the end result.
The Book is made from 3 paper bags, eyelets, fiber, papers and bits and bobs from my Embellie Stash.
All pictures were taken at the Ottawa Science and Tech Museum during the time volunteering for the Victorian Christmas Holiday themed events last year... or when we had free run of the Museum during the photo shoot for the advertising. <---that fun="fun" span="span" was="was">
Assembled the 'Book' 1st...
Then went through and 'wallpapered' it with patterned paper...
Made pull-out pages to go in all the pockets...
Added a mini-book inside the book...
Then went through and attached all the photos...
Then went through it and added ripped papers for  journaling...
Then finally went through it (several times over) adding embellies until I felt it was 'DONE.
Was able to get the book done start to finish at the Crop (minus journaling)... woot!
