the part of you that you can see?
What if you expanded that out…out into the ETHERS?
What if YOU goes beyond your physical body? I believe it does. Our energetic bodies can extend out in all directions from our physical bodies for yards and yards. Then YOU can expand out into other dimensions, lifetimes and layers of “reality.” Can you go there? Maybe more so now towards the end of this Painting Meditation Challenge than before?"

 Fun...
FREE-ing...
Flowing...

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 19: WOOD

"Wood. 2014 is a wood year…we have moved out of two water years. Wood is about growth and expansion. As I meditated on the rings that I painted, my thoughts led me to realizations around acceptance and the natural cycles of life. We know each ring in a tree holds an imprint of what that tree experienced that year. Years of tremendous growth, in which it received the optimal amount of water, etc. manifest as thick rings. Years of drought or hardship present thin rings. It is like that for us. Each year builds our life experience. Some years yield thick, juicy, fertile, healthy rings and others we barely are able to sustain our life energy…and everything in between. But it is ALL natural and the “tree” can handle it ALL."

 Serene today.
Crayons and Wash.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 18: METAL

"Today we paint the element of METAL. I have always been told that I have a lot of metal in me and I never understood that. I feel more like a water person. BUT, when it was explained to me in the context that METAL is the best conductor of energy it hit me! I am so sensitive to the energy of a space, a group, a place. AND mountains are the also the metal element. When I moved two years ago to the mountains, a lot shifted for me. "

 COOL!
-Needed- to calm today and this was perfect.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 17: EARTH

Earth energy. Grounding. Manifesting. Rich. Nurturing. Fertile. Layered. Your roots. Mother Earth.

Used wax resist under this one... love the layering.
Went deep.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 16: WATER

"Today we meditate on the element of water. When you engage with the elements, you open up a conversation. You start a dialogue. They will speak to you. Now, I have to warn you, the elements don’t seem too concerned with our everyday practicalities as a modern, Western being. They speak from an elemental place and will show up how they choose.
Water is the element of emotion. Imagine an ocean. You can imagine you are standing on the beach looking out over the clear, wide, flat expanse of blue. Calming, right?
What do we know about what is going on underneath the surface? There are powerful currents and an entire universe of life under there, right?
It is like that for you. There is what we and others see on the surface, and then there is the infinite expanse of YOU that exists underneath the surface."
Messy
That was what today was a total, complete, sloppy mess.
...and it was GOOD.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 15: FIRE

"You can call on the element of fire to burn away distractions or obstacles. You can imagine it burning through the undergrowth of the destructive “undergrowth” of thought that can keep us tangled up instead of free to pursue our dreams.
Sometimes it

is a letting go, a clearing away, that needs to happen before you can move more fully towards your vision.
Fire both burns and warms. As you paint a mandala, imagine the flame within you burning, spreading, expanding…until your are consumed by confidence, conviction, passion and action around your desires."
 POP!
That's the only way to describe today.

21 Days Painting Meditation Day 12: Triple Spiral

Would love for you to read more here:

Not sure when the music ended today...
I just kept going... and going... and going... Infinite spirals.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 11: Mother Earth

"Today is brought to you by the West African Adinkra symbol for Mother Earth.
I loved reflecting on this symbol."

Quick and Furious today... This one wanted OUT!

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 10: LOTUS

"By now you may have experienced how painting creates change in your energy–how you feel, the kinds of thoughts you are thinking. Of course, we also understand that what we paint, the colors, images, symbols, affects our energy. So how about painting the energy you WANT? If you are in a tough situation that you want to evolve into learning, growing, evolving…positive directions, then the LOTUS is your symbol."

Out of the dirt comes beauty...
Out of the muck emerges the lotus.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 9: Strength of Heart

"Today we are inspired by the West African Adinkra symbol for “strength of heart.” This symbol can help you when you need to make a tough decision to FOLLOW YOUR HEART…which often means not following LOGIC."

Today was such a WOW day... no words.
Many tears, but no words.

21 Day Painting Meditaion Day 8: OM

"We are moving into sacred symbol territory. For the last couple of years I have been exploring and creating with sacred symbols. In July 2013 I produced the first product line under my new brand Artual…combining art + ritual. You can download a free eBook with insight into the sacred symbols we are going to be playing with at http://whitneyfreya.com/freebies/. You can buy your own set of stencils or just freehand them…or create whatever comes to your brush, but I want to introduce the idea of CREATING the energy around us."

 OM...nuff said.
Chanted and hummed along, played the music through twice today. Feeling very calm and centered post meditation. Peaceful.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 7: Magenta

"Magenta is my favorite color!
Well, unless it’s a turquoise kind of day.
You have been painting every day for a week!!!
I have been so thrilled and blessed by all of your sharing and your COLOR!"

Very flow-y today... spaced out and just kept stroking!

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 6: INDIGO

"Today we paint with indigo, the color of our 3rd eye or 6th chakra.
Focus in on your 3rd eye, that point on your forehead between your eyes.
Breathe.
Become present.
Imagine your 3rd eye as the center of an ever expanding sphere.
This sphere can be as big as your body, your room, your home, the entire world, universe…
see what I mean?
We have access to the infinite.
Carl Jung taught us this. He compared the conscious mind (the line) to  a wine cork and the unconscious mind to the entire breadth and depth of the ocean. You don’t want to just rely on the wine cork of awareness when you could have the entire ocean, right?"

Honestly, don't remember the music ending...
I went away,
this was on my paper when I emerged.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 5: BLUE

"Marvelous turquoise, sky, ocean blue! LOVE this color. Dive in today to the color of our 5th chakra–the throat chakra. Are you feeling a shift in your experience? Some of you have already commented on how you feel differently, your energy has changed, and you are feeling more relaxed and inspired. Your infinite creative heART is opening and you will be able to receive more and more!"

VERY much in the flow today...
The photo does not do this justice the Teals ans Aquas don't show well. There was loosening of some held on tension as the paint flowed across the page today.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 4: GREEN

"Today we immerse ourselves in green.
Green is the color of our 4th chakra, the heART chakra.
The color green feeds the energy within us that empowers our relationships,
helps move from a place of love and compassion
and that also inspires us to share our gifts with the world…
from the heart."

Today the flow was totally in sync with the music, no 2nd play and I felt finished as the music piece ended... do believe there is a sync-ing with the daily practice happening.

21 Day Painting Meditation Day 3: YELLOW

"Today we move up into our 3rd chakra as we immerse ourselves in YELLOW.
How does yellow make you feel?
I have been VERY attracted to yellow lately.
It is the color of our PERSONAL WILL.
It helps you move out into the world confidently,
with THIS-IS-WHO-I-AM-AND-THIS-IS-WHAT-I-DO!
Or you just thought about bananas or yellow duckies.
I started by painting the symbol of the 3rd chakra.
I have been working for a couple of years now with sacred symbols.
They have deep energy, deep knowing.
Working with colors and symbols is another form of energy work.
Try this painting meditation one day when you are feeling really anxious, worried, mad…
and check how you feel before and after.
It is profound!"

Today was very slow, played the music a couple of times through because my movements were long, languid... almost liquid... a sense of warmth pooling and swirling out.
