Blog Button Attempt...

This year as ya'll know I continued with Book of Days which is now housed over at:
http://wildsoularts.ning.com/
With all the changes that are taking place a new name has bubbled up for the Premium Group on Facebook:
The BOD Squad
...aaaaaand a call for a new Blog Button.
I'm throwing my attempt in the ring.
Ta-Da!
Based shamelessly on the Charlie's Angels.
Made 2 nights ago.
Paper cutting, paper cutting and more paper cutting...
Only stabbed myself 2X with the exacto and nail scissors fussy cutting this.
That's like a miracle on my end! lol
Ended up staying up overnight because it just *had* to be made. The past few days I've been in 'high-pain' mode, my Muse knew it needed making when it did. Good thing I listened.

 Made on an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet, then
Scanned and cropped:

Painting The Goddess Within: It's a start...

ahh... Now that the boys are all back to school and work, there is time for me to start plowing through the back-log (already?! hellz yeah...) on the courses Greg gifted me.
Life Book is as caught up as I plan to get for a few days.
Onto Painting The Goddess Within with Sheri Ann Ponzi.
It's not tooooo late to go sign-up either... I'm SUPER lovin' it!

This was not a 'prompted' piece but it needed makin' none the less..
This is how I saw the Goddess during the 1st Guided Mediation exercise.
This morning I woke up and needed to get her out of my head and onto paper...
So I grabbed a scrap and drew her with watercolor pencils.
After Water:
 Before Water:

But, I'm getting ahead of myself!
First, I took the time to set my Goddess Altar, nestled in among the moving boxes.
Pottery Dish: Spiral design in the center, Blooming out into a flower-like design. Using to hold whatever I'm called to place there. At present, Various stones, Heart, Dragonfly, single rose petal and my Grandmother's engagement ring. Candle Holder with 4 stones facing in the correct directions, stick incense holder, charcoal disk, tongs and Celtic Triquetra loose incense burner, larger candle holder, Dragonfly, Pottery vase of feathers, Jar of Blue Moon Water, Jar of Sea Salt, various Oracle Cards and Offering Cup.
This arrangement will change with time/need and the move.

Then I jumped ahead a bit and did the 1st Guided Mediation exercise... From that I was led to make a special blend of incense, which from now on I'll be burning when I work on PTGW.

I also continued into the 1st 2 steps, of 13... to Paint the Goddess led by Havi Mandell.
So... this is FAR from complete, we will be gradually working on it layer by layer throughout the course.

Then spritzed with Blue Moon Water
 1st Color
2nd Color

3rd Color

More Blue Moon Water spritzing then some Paper Toweling. Then more Paint

Felt the need to scrape the word Faith into the center of the heart in my Gateway.
Also spritz with Blue Moon Water mixed with Silver paint.
'finished' Gateway welcoming the Goddess to come forth...
This is the stage I leave it at til the next lesson.

Life Book: True Intentions

Life Book Week 2 done already.... I'm just buzzing along!

Monica Zuniga's lesson in which we 'set our True Intentions' for the year.
We were to create a 'doll' with stamped images and words that would inspire us through the year.

I grabbed a few words from this article:
http://www.dreammanifesto.com/30-power-words-activate-intention-setting.html
Added and removed from the list as they inspired me. Font-ified them on my computer and printed the list to snip up and add to the Doll.

9" X 12"
This was a messsssssssy one!
She is pretty-in-pink and ready to par-tay into 2013.

Life Book: Celebration & Journey

On with the Main Project for Week 1 of Life Book...
Creating a fun page celebrating the journey ahead of us.
Was a slow start it took me 3 days work to git'er all done but here it is:

9" X 12"

Decided my mode of transportation needed to be a healthy one, in keeping with one of the goals set, so I'm riding a Penny Farthing... in Steampunk garb (of course!). The photo I used was from the 2012 Ottawa ComicCon where I had been in Steampunk garb, made for an easy change-over.
Tweaked the lesson a bit:
Decided the add the 2013 road, which is cobblestone, and the 2014 & Beyond. I want these goals to continue and continue... they are not 'get there and we're done' kinda goals for the most part.
Supplies: 3 kinds of watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons, Gelly Roll white pen, and various black Gels.

Goals in the Flowers:
Spiritual Study
Healthier Body
Art for Me
New Home

Blessings in the Clouds:
My ever pushy Muse
Husband that truly loves me and a solid family
Lessons learned from the past that fuel my future
Super Fantastic Friends ...each and every one of them
Life that continues to improve more with each passing year

Life Book 2013: My Fairy Art Mother

The New Year has started... so has Life Book 2013!!!
Yippeee!!!
*straggling in late as always...*
The 'warm-up' exercise was to start playing with some of the newer supplies we may have never used before and create our Fairy Art Mother. The watercolor crayons are all new to me and honestly, not sure if I like them much. Our Fairy Art Mother (or Father) will be watching over us as we work, reminding us we to be Kind to Ourselves and our Art through this year's process.

She's done!
My Fairy Art Mother wanted to remind me:
Just Be... with multi chronic health issues including ADHD, 4 boyz, 3 fur-kids and the resultant chaotic schedule that my Art-ing time is for ME and when I'm there to BE there, not the 60 million other places.
I'm MUSE Rich: That though we are poor of pocket I am rich in Creativity... if we can't get the best-est sh-tuff I *always* find a way to use what I got to create.
I love her... she is now above the wee work space I have left (we're mid move) watching over me with kind eyes.
