December Daily : Hope... Santa's Helper?

Today... really early, when Greg got home from work (3am) we put up the Christmas Village. Something we do together every year when da boyz aren't awake,
to facilitate us still having unbroken houses to display in future years. lol
We um... had a fuzzy little black 'assistant' while doing it.
Hope decided to take an avid interest in what we were doing.
IE. doing INSTEAD of paying attention to her, how dare we?!
Luckily our lil'director didn't break anything though she was WAY to interested in the cords.

December Daily Catch-Up...

Though I hadn't planned to do it tonight...
I ended up sitting down and finishing the catch-up for my December Daily.
Our 'Christmas' starts in November so I had 2 days to catch-up on before December 1st.

This is the Cover decorated:
The inside front.
I always remind myself about
The Christmas Pledge
This was a great place to post it!

THE CHRISTMAS PLEDGE
Believing in the beauty and simplicity of Christmas,

I commit myself to the following:
1. To remember those people who truly need my gifts.

2. To express my love for family and friends

in more direct ways than presents.
3. To rededicate myself to the spiritual growth of my family.

4. To examine my holiday activities

in light of the true spirit of Christmas.
5. To initiate one act of peacemaking

within my circle of family and friends.

Our Holiday began when we celebrated 'Christmas in November' November 2nd.
My Aunt & Uncle go to Mexico for the winter leaving mid-November so we have a complete 'Christmas' with them before they go.
November 30th we had the Christmas Pictures taken.
December 1st: The Countdown Calendars Begin!

December Daily... and we're off!!!

This year I've decided to journal our Christmas so I've signed up for December Daily at Ali Edwards. Check it out HERE!!!

I spent 2 hours last night pulling together my 'Base Book'...
I just LOVE that I can use up all the bits and pieces I have lying around from past Christmas projects.
This is definitely a Stash Dive Project... my FAVORITE!
The cover is made from 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" Cereal Board covered in Patterned Paper. Gluesticks and ScorPal tape are my friend.
Pages are 6" X 6" Card-stock covered in Pattern Paper & corner rounded. Crop-o-dile'd holes through all.
2 pages per day giving a total of 6" X 12" to work on each day.
I kept my pages very plain so I can gather bits and pieces each day to add I'd rather have relevant sh-tuff on most of the pages than just some pretty impersonal decor.
I work fast so I'm not worried about having a ton pre-done.
I haven't even added the Numbers for each Day... I'll be adding these as I go, didn't want them in the way if I have bigger things to add on certain days. All cut from 1 sheet of Pattern Paper.

I've posted a few pictures below and at the bottom of the post is a link to the rest in My Flickr Album.
I'll be keeping the Flickr Album up to date and I may/may not post all the pages here. I'll see where this project takes me...
