December Daily... and we're off!!!

This year I've decided to journal our Christmas so I've signed up for December Daily at Ali Edwards. Check it out HERE!!!

I spent 2 hours last night pulling together my 'Base Book'...
I just LOVE that I can use up all the bits and pieces I have lying around from past Christmas projects.
This is definitely a Stash Dive Project... my FAVORITE!
The cover is made from 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" Cereal Board covered in Patterned Paper. Gluesticks and ScorPal tape are my friend.
Pages are 6" X 6" Card-stock covered in Pattern Paper & corner rounded. Crop-o-dile'd holes through all.
2 pages per day giving a total of 6" X 12" to work on each day.
I kept my pages very plain so I can gather bits and pieces each day to add I'd rather have relevant sh-tuff on most of the pages than just some pretty impersonal decor.
I work fast so I'm not worried about having a ton pre-done.
I haven't even added the Numbers for each Day... I'll be adding these as I go, didn't want them in the way if I have bigger things to add on certain days. All cut from 1 sheet of Pattern Paper.

I've posted a few pictures below and at the bottom of the post is a link to the rest in My Flickr Album.
I'll be keeping the Flickr Album up to date and I may/may not post all the pages here. I'll see where this project takes me...

Friday Challenges... X2.

For 4X4 Friday Challenge: Eclectic
I did a collage of 16 'background inchies'
I clipped small pieces out of various images I had on file...
a Pot-Pourrie of Eye-Candy.

Postcard for Art Creations Friday Challenge #77

This Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme was the 1st thing that popped in my head when I saw the image this round... I think it suits. :O)
I also 'highlighted' the water spill with 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Art Creation Friday: Challenge 76 2-fer!!!

The image this time for Art Creation Friday Challenge 76 reminded me of the older pictures of Christopher Robin from Winnie-the-Pooh... so that's what I went with.
I couldn't make up my mind between 2 images he 'fit' in so I did them both!
I liberally sprayed the printed off pencil sketches with 4 different brown Glimmer Mists, and a spritz of the lightest shade on the Christophers before I cut them out. Inked the edges of the Postcards for a more aged look... Wanna go on an Explore?

Art Creations Friday #75

I made this SteamPunk Postcard for Art Creations Friday Challenge #75
Background is from here.

I took the supplied image and trimmed a fair bit off, made her a *new* dress and hat with thick Green Mulberry Paper.
Edged the dress in trimmings of a paper Lace Doily and a mini-cameo.
Ribbon 'belt' with key and lock.
Hat trimmed with brass and watch bits monocle and gave her a mechanical Hand.
Tea & Biscuits anyone?

3 'little' Projects...

Today we went to the Wake for a very wonderful lady, who babysat my brother and I all through our early School Years. I've been crying on and off all day... bit out of sorts...
I sat down and did a few 'mini' projects to keep my thoughts & fingers from both being idle.
Yes, I do believe that Art makes for very good medicine. :O)

This is my 4X4 for this Weeks 4X4 Friday: Spring Garden.
I love seeing the Crocus' popping their pretty little faces through the dull winter grass...
That's Spring to me!
Pink Mulberry Paper, Clip-Art from an old Garden book and the flowers are shimmered up with a light coating of Pearl White Lumiere.

An Artist Postcard for the Collage Obsession: Beach Challenge.
The towel is Mulberry Paper, sun part of a sticker I doodled over, water bottle & beach ball are stickers... and the whole kit & kaboodle was sprayed with Tuscan Sun Glimmer Mist, to get that Warm Golden Summer Glow.

Another Artist Postcard for Art Creations Friday: #71
I 'tinted' the little girl with washed out paints, sprayed the background in 2 shades of Green Glimmer Mist, the bucket is painted with Silver 3D Crystal Lacquer and the flower centers are Gold 3D Crystal Lacquer.
