I've been busy and tired, busy then tired... an unending cycle the past few weeks. 

Week 5 is done too, I'll post separately... later. *grin*

Another great week for using snips that were lying around:

-Starbucks cup wraps

-Shopping Receipts

-Paper leftovers

-Overspray sheets

-Washi Tape

-Greeting card bits

So that got the A Steamy Shower in a Frosty Bathroom prompt from #MondayMugshots in.

Used the Silhouettes prompt from Journal 52, rub-ons over an over spray sheet scrap. 

Journaled on SHINE for Paint and Chronicle.

Playing with the Script (Writing) and still using the COLOR prompt from last week for The Documented Life Project.

I did cover the FREEDOM HoneLife prompt, but in another journal in it was pretty private sh-tuff regarding the abuses from Marriage #1. No share-y. 

July SouLodge: Working with Wolf

Joined SouLodge this month... Great program created by Pixie Campbell. Missed out on starting at the begining of the year but jumped at the 1/2 way point joining option. I look forward to 'looking back' over the 1st 6 months at my leisure and 'moving forward' with the Animal Medicine in the months ahead!

July we are working with: WOLF

Been working through the journal questions while listening to the wolf call video.... Interesting story about Ayva, our deaf and mostly blind dog (merle-to-merle breeding) ... Every time I put the howls on she comes running over and whimpers and wants to snuggle. She is definitely 100% deaf, sometimes it has played on my laptop and sometimes on my phone, so floor vibration doesn't cover why she can 'hear' the calls. Not that I ever mind the extra snuggles. ;)

The other thing I have reeeally enjoyed this month was the guided mediation. Listened through on my own and made a rough sketch with pencil, then outlined it in pen. The 2nd time I was heading out to do it in our yard, my 3 youngest boys asked to join me. It was late and quite dark in the yard... all 4 of us sat around my iPhone and listened to the mediation. It was indescribable: Being surrounded by my 'pups', in pack, doing this together. We came back in and they all trotted off to bed quietly (this does *not* happen usually, lol) and I started adding color to my drawing with watercolor pencils. Then took a break, when my husband got home from work (he works early evening/nights) at 3 am I was drawn back and started adding the water. We sat, working alongside each other, the other part of my 'pack' until it was done.

Tried to scan my picture this morning, it cut off a bit around all the edges though... I felt warmth and the presence of an internal fire during both listens. The 2nd time it was stronger.

Earlier in the month I had found a line drawing of a wolf online while looking up pictures, my youngest had asked me to print out copies for them... In the morning the 3 boys took the outline drawings of wolves and colored in what they saw. *happy mum* One of them let me snap a picture, the other 2 are 'shy' about sharing. That is Robert's wolf, he said it was 'rippling shades of grey/black and the feet left fire-y footprints'.

For this one we had to use the sketch provided AND mixed alphabets for titling.

My layout is of our (now annual) trip to the place we had our year-and-a-day-before-the-wedding Celtic Betrothal Handfasting ceremony. On our Wedding Anniversary we go to the same stone we stood on for the swearing that day and we bring a stone from our garden to leave behind. September 25th 2012 was our 2nd Anniversary and we took these pictures on our visit that day. 

We are moving in less than 3 weeks (YEAH!) so almost everything is now packed including ALL my letter stickers so I used some Word Rub-Ons that were still hanging around and an acetate title overlay for my mixed alphas. 

Papers are from the CTMH 'Key to my Heart' page set.

Flowers are Prima. 

Small Flower has some $1 store pearls in the center. 

Washi Tape, Ribbon, Gems, Acetate and Rub-Ons are unknown to me stash sh-tuff.

 Last few days have been spent clearing 'to mail' commitments...

 Since packing is in FULL swing, don't want anything that's not *ours* getting tossed in a box. lol

This was made for the latest prompt in Cafe Dell Arte...

Tricia's prompt is to PLAY. 

Do what makes you happy. 

Use all of your favorite materials. 

Make a page that puts a smile on your face.

Decided it's been toooo long since I dragged my favorite papers, stamps, punches etc... out and went steam-y. :) Used paper scraps from my Steampunk collection ('cause I have a pretty big one now) to start, added gear punches and the 'ghost sheet' I punched out of... stencils, stamps and LOTS of paint and Glimmer Mist. I missed my gear-y goodness-y sh-tuff. More than I realized.

One of my favorite little bits of this is how her hat worked out... when I looked the 2 leaves were on the page (it was a botanical sheet), on her hat... so I drew them in. I also used the line if the side of the dress form to decide where her skirt would be... it was perfectly placed.

It perfectly described the past few weeks and how my life has been going. 

With the 'excitement' of the upcoming move, the physical aspects, the emotional and the chemical my body is in hyper-drive pain wise. Stress is a trigger and even 'good stress' can cause problems.  It's ALL good stress, at this stage (just don't say PACK near me it's the newest 4-letter word) but it's still stress and the body doesn't differentiate the good from the bad.

So I work out the P-A-I-N with P-A-I-N-T. (or markers or pencils or... you get the idea...)

Sunday was a VERY productive day... 

Spent the day in Pierce's Corners, North Gower at the Loonie4Scrapbooking February Crop with a wonderful bunch of ladies. My once a month much-needed-no-boys-escape. ;O)

Spent the entire day making a happy mess resulting in 9 new background papers for Art Journaling and also got the picture of the Goddess Brighid I started on Imbolc done. 

Side Note:

Had a scare on Friday (Imbolc) night that put a hold on any other plans for the start of the weekend. It seems my eldest son came home from a friends with some fresh kitty dander on him, I then got a good snoot-full. Insta-puff on the entire right side of my face and down my throat. Meds were administered by family and they started working beautifully quick. Thanks be! So the rest of the weekend was spent in a post adrenaline-shot hazy-feel-like-I-just-ran-a-HUGE-marathon weak and tired state. Looking possible death in the face, yet again, does that to a body. 

I am good as gold now, still tired and a bit shaky but GOOD. 

Despite the events of Friday I was durn well determined to still go on Sunday AND going to make it worth my while! 

 The Papers were made in my usual fashion:

Use up paper scraps and ephemera attaching with Gel Medium.

Then spraying, painting, stenciling and stamping  til they were *NEW* papers.

Made six 9" X 11" papers, worked on Brighid then had more time so I made (My 1st!) three 12" X 12" papers too.  Messy Goodness!!!

This is an Instagram shot (whooo I got Instagram to work! lol) I took after the lunch break.

Journal Prompt: If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Worked on a prompt today for a Facebook group I'm in:

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Ended up writing a letter to my 22 year old self.

It can be tucked all the way in. 

Letter was about 'Holding On' it will ALL be worth it in the end.

Made a paper copy of my hand... tried my best-est to draw in my wedding/engagement rings.
My 'letter' was telling my 22 year old self, who was at the 1st signs/stages of an abusive marriage, that a loving marriage IS possible and to hold on... because there would be 4 beautiful-special-lovely boys from what was to come. To hold on and stay strong I *would* make it through the next decade and survive.

Part of the letter was about pretty things growing from the s**t (ie fertilizer)

 Attached the envie on 3 sides (open on top) with double sided tape... to leave a pocket for the letter. Sponged some white around where the envie was going so it would POP.
