We were able to watch Soul Art Day Live through a muted Studio camera and Live Hangouts and there was a steady stream of chatter and photos from Soul Artists from around the world in the Soul Art Facebook group.

Many using the hashtag#SoulArtDay on other social media.

I am so pleased to have been able to clear the day for this yesterday ...and will again in future years.

Super Soul Flow ~ April Canvas #2 - ABUNDANCE ~ Rabbit

"We are going to explore THREE types of abundance that are available to us at any time:

#1 INNER abundance

#2 CREATIVE abundance

#3 RADIANT abundance

There are an abundance of symbols to create the energy of abundance!

To connect to the energy of abundance, we are going to begin with exploring the magnificent color wheel. You are going to explore the infinite, and most abundant, shades of color that you can create yourself!

One of the statements I have heard new painters make throughout my career is, “It is getting muddy,” or “I don’t have the right color.” Therefore, becoming comfortable mixing colors is a valuable practice and one that will illustrate, symbolically, the abundance all around us!

In the ABUNDANCE video I take you through the color wheel. I encourage you to spend some time during your Painting Practice this month playing with the colors. Mix many different shades of your favorite color, for example. There is no end to the shades of color you can create!

You can mix infinite shades of red and blue, starting with red and adding a little bit of blue, then a little more, and more…and then you get to PURPLE!

You can also mix OPPOSITE COLORS. These are my favorite. If you look at this color mandala, you can see that the opposite colors are RED & GREEN, PURPLE & YELLOW,ORANGE & BLUE. When you add just a bit of the opposite color into a color, i.e. a bit of orange into blue, you get an “earthy” shade of that color. "

Was pulled to create a 2nd canvas this month... 

Started with a partially finished canvas from a class I no longer have access too. Then used up ALL of the mis-matched, partially used tubes of paint from replaced sets.

Super Soul Flow ~ March Canvas - PRESENCE ~ Mandala

March Super Soul Flow was all about:

PRESENCE

We created a mandala for this chapter.

 "Mandala in Sanskrit means sacred container. 

Mandalas have been created by almost every culture that has ever existed. 

It has ALWAYS been a ritual, an “Artual,” designed to bring us to our center and connect us to the divine."

"Becoming present is all about cultivating awareness. Awareness happens when we learn to be our own witness. For example, right now, look within. Then take a step back and observe how you are feeling at this particular moment. Are you feeling tired, happy, hopeful, frustrated, stressed, or excited? Now, ask yourself, “Am I this feeling? Is this who I am?” 

The answer would be NO. 

You are the you that is experiencing that feeling—you are not your feeling. 

In fact, at any given point in time, your focus, and the feeling being generated, is either on, or stemming from, the past, the future, or the present.

From the past, we can learn from our mistakes, recall valuable information, memories, or facts that we have learned or experienced and access our own personal set of baggage.

From the future, we get the opportunity to plan ahead, envision the future we desire, or worry about what might, possibly, maybe happen if this situation, desire, or goal of ours does not work out."

Process: 

Re-Decorating a $2 2nd hand store pre-print canvas.

Black Gesso to start and then into the NEON Paints.

Followed the ideas laid out in this months video and delved into PRESENCE.

Took time in 2 parts to complete this months painting. 

Both times I left the Studio Table feeling softly content and very focused.

Super Soul Flow ~ Meditation Canvas - SELF LOVE ~

"Paint a heart. Paint more than one.

Completed the February Painting for SUPER SOUL FLOW on Friday the 13th... Posting late, as is my theme, lol. Creating my meditation canvas piece this month was also late because SELF-LOVE in the form of Self-Care was THE theme of the month, I was sick for almost 3 weeks and 2 of those were spent in bed, taking care of ME. 

Was MOREthan ready to start painting once I got back to my desk again... 

I put the music on, incense, candle and off I went for almost 2 hours! 

Found that I was doing a lot of finger painting, flowing... spirals and deep arcs, arrows and a triskelion. The word GROW came to me several times and in the end there was a heART flower on the canvas... 

Self-Love I know deep down is something I struggle with.
