Scrap Our Stash Design Team Page: June HOMECOMING Challenge

Read all the details for the
June HOMECOMING Challenge:
Sooo...
A project about any changes since joining the Design Team here at Scrap Our Stash:
As an encore to last month's page about our Celtic Betrothal Handfasting Ceremony in 2009 I made a page for our 1 year Wedding Anniversary in 2011. When I joined all the wonderfully talented ladies here at SOS it was January 2011 and I had *just* gotten married. Now we're swiftly heading towards Wedding Anniversary #2.
The wheels of time keeps turning!
On our 1 year anniversary we had a nice lunch out, then since the weather was so beautiful we went for a walk in the park our Betrothal Handfasting Ceremony was held. We brought a pretty stone from our garden with us and placed it on the large flat rock we'd stood on to say our vows when we had our hands tied together. We also took some pictures... my favorite being the one of our shadows over that special rock.

Page base is a My Mind's Eye: Life Stories sheet... part of the much drooled on, but barely used stash.
I cut a piece of white vellum to go across the page, it's slightly wider than 12" so I folded the extra around the base paper on each side. Dug out a Fiskar border punch (threading water) and punched along each edge and threaded the ribbon through. Ribbon is a Celebrate It St.Patrick's Day pattern of wee plaid shamrocks. When threading them through I flipped the vellum around so the stems are facing the photos each way.
Photos were cut using the cutter I saved that never worked right... cuts the edges all 'shaggy' which has it's uses... then I sanded them with an emery board. When attaching the largest photo I left is open underneath on the right so I could hide some journaling underneath. Journaling block is from Little Yellow Bicycle's 'Lucky Me' Journaling Tablet. I punched it with another border punch (leave it to weaver), sliced off that strip and attached it the bottom of the block, then punched the top again to match.
My favorite part of this page is the LYB Clear Cuts Lucky Me 'logo' with the 'EST.2009' on it: The Year of our Betrothal Ceremony. The September is a rub-on from Bohemia.
Will be slipping this page into the back of our 'I'm still working on it' Wedding Album, lol.
Now it's your turn to take the June HOMECOMING Challenge.

Etsy Alchemy Order: 2 Art Tags

I've had a couple of Alchemy requests on Etsy and today  was able to get one of them ready...
The origional 'Salt Water Cure' tag was a Blonde in a Green Dress and the request was for:
Brown Hair and an Aqua Dress as well as Black Hair and a Pink Dress.
Took a bit of fidgeting to get the stamps to go where I needed them to, as close as possible to the original tag design, but it got figured out.
I must say the client's color choices are stunning!

These are the *New* Tags:

The Original Tag on top and the *New* Tags underneath:

Book of Days Catch-Up Post Part 1: May 10th - 30th

My Book of Days, as with al most all of my art-sy-ing activities has been left fallow for far too long as I have been unwell. Thanks so new meds I am slowly coming back and though there is still far to go I'm determinately waddling my way along the road to 'better'. :O)

********
As I posted in yesterday's WOYWW post...
Update on my health:
Lyrica treatment for Fibromyalgia is going GREAT.
The Flexiril has had one serious side effect though... We spent 6+ hours at the hospital Sunday/Monday night/morning because I have a UTI *and* my bladder has dropped.
It's a stage 2 Prolapse (was at Stage 3 when I arrived at emergency): http://women.webmd.com/prolapsed-bladder.
Both the emergency room doctor and my family doctor (who I saw promptly Monday afternoon) think that the Flexiril helped speed the process. Wonderful.
Can't win fer losing... lol. So that means I'm taking:
~Antibiotics for the Strep Throat (3X a day with/without food)
~Antibiotics for the UTI (2X a day with food)
~Probiotics I have to make sure I'm NOT taking with this antibiotics
~Anti-yeast infection pill: Taken
(before I get another one like I just got over from the Strep antibiotics)
~ Lyrica and Night (still to chicken to try 2X a day)
~Sleeping Aids
~Variety of pain killers
In addition:
~NO lifting, bending over, yelling or anything else that put 'pressure' of any kind 'down there'
~Avoid lying on my back and standing/walking for prolonged periods
~Kegels, Kegels, Kegels!
~only 1/4 cup of fluids at a time every 1/2-1 hour apart
~ Tiny meals frequently also no more than 1/4 cup-ish at a time

Confused yet?
I sure am...
Writing every last thing I do down so I can keep track of the times, amounts and doses.
Yeeee haw!

I am fighting and I will win!

Wallack's Warehouse *happy-happy* Sale!!! Haul-Report.

HUGE Thank-You to Stephanie Guimond for posting in the Creative Ottawa Facebook Group about the Wallacks' Warehouse Sale over at City Center yesterday.
WOW-za!!!!
So hope we can get there earlier next year because it was FAB-u-LOUS!

Sale was on from 9 AM -6 PM... Greg had to work 8:30 AM -4:30 PM.
His last route ended downtown and the car was parked waaaaay out at the east end St. Laurent Depot (he drives for OCTranspo, our local City Bus).
Though his route ran late by 10 minutes... He managed to get to the car, drive someone that needed dropping at Baseline Station there and get home here (Pinecrest/Baseline) by 5:35.
Then we fleeeeeeeew to City Center. Made it there and in the door by 5:50 PM.
Huzzzzzzah!!!
He DESERVES a Big ol'Medal!
Then we rush-shopped in tandem for the 10 minutes that was left.
Greg knows what I like/need so I trust him completely to grab and go for my tastes.
He's awesome.

Hoping some of this helps heal my ailing Muse.
