Just loving today's BOD page...
Last night was a haze of dogs and kids puking, daylight saving's 'lose an hour' and the nassssstiest headache I've had in forever. Truly expected to walk into the Studio this morning, faceplant and just fall asleep. My Muse had other plans...
Started with an image I got from an online freebie Celtic Clip Art Collection. Have several printed and stashed waiting for inspiration to strike... plus they're pretty to look at and paw through. lol Liked the touches of pink against the blue in this one: the feminine and the masculine imagery fell in line with some of my thoughts in and around the recently celebrated 'National Women's Day'.
Background started with Bright 'Tutti-Fruitti' (don'cha love the name?!) pink paint, then purple, soft pink and shimmery silver all sponged on layered over each other. The side pieces are cut from DCWV 'Once Upon a Time' paper... Blue to compliment the Pink. (Boy/Girl)
Then stamped the interwoven cross/heart in StazOn, coloring it in with Pink and Gold. This stamp is very special to me, it was the one we used on our Betrothel Handfasting Ceremony favors. Ceremony where we publicly announced our intent and were handfasted for a year before the wedding.
I used Gold everywhere I could... blame watching 'The Secret of Kells' this past week. ;O)
Quote around the edges:
"Woman was taken out of man; not out of his head to top him, nor out of his feet to be trampled underfoot; but out of his side to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved ."

Journaling:
Contented in the fact that Greg and I are "together" not "against" each other... this is right.
Really love the balance of feminine/masculine all in accord, interwoven together, rather than fighting against each other.
