Your card is simply beautifiul, Sarah, and I just love the words you have used. They made me think. We are going through a very long and very hot heatwave at the moment. I do my hand-watering early in the morning or after sundown at night. Last night I noticed it was even too hot for the "mozzies" which is what we call mosquitoes. Too hot for any creature I thought until I heard some frogs "singing" in the undergrowth. Poor things had probably been waiting for me to give them some moist and cool spots to do their romancing in. The sound was so soothing that I sat on my front step and listened for ages. I am going to save your quote to remind me to listen with my ears!!
